The PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) held its second draw of the month on August 17, 2023. Candidates in the Labour & Express Entry, and Business Work Permit Entrepreneur streams received invitations to apply (ITAs) in the most recent PEI PNP draw.

The PEI Latest Draw expects to receive a total of 142 applications for Canadian permanent residency under the aforementioned streams.

The table below provides more information on the number of invitations and CRS scores required for different targeted occupations.

The PEI PNP Critical Worker Stream invited people who work for an employer in Prince Edward Island and have an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 50 to apply for permanent residency.

PEI Provincial Nominee Program

The PEI PNP is designed to attract immigrants who have the skills and experience that are in demand in Prince Edward Island. The program offers a variety of streams, each with its own eligibility requirements. Some of the streams are open to skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and business owners. Other streams are open to graduates of Prince Edward Island universities and colleges.

The PEI PNP is a fast-track immigration program. Once an application is approved, the applicant can receive a provincial nomination, which is a major advantage in the Express Entry immigration system. Applicants with a provincial nomination are given priority processing and are more likely to be invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

To immigrate through the PEI PNP, candidates must first register in the province’s Expression of Interest (EOI) system. After their profile has been assessed and they have been assigned a CRS score, the top applicants are invited to submit an application during regular draws.The PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) issues Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to qualified candidates every month, with a few exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the next PEI PNP draw are determined by the needs of the Prince Edward Island economy.

Labor Impact

The Prince Edward Island (PEI) Labour Impact Category is a program that allows foreign nationals with a valid job offer and support from a PEI employer to apply for permanent residency in Canada.

Express Entry

The PEI PNP Express Entry stream is similar to Express Entry System in that it uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system.

Business Impact

The Prince Edward Island (PEI PNP) Business Work Permit Stream is for people who want to start and run a business on the island.
