Recently, on August 9th, 2023, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program conducted a draw from numerous skilled immigration streams. This focused draw is aimed at filling high-demand positions according to the National Occupational Classification of Canada.
The latest British Columbia PNP draw in August is aimed at identifying eligible individuals in fields such as technology, healthcare, and childcare, which are in high demand. The draw will include 195 applications categorized as Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker – EEBC option, International Graduate, International Graduate – EEBC option, Entry Level, and Semi-Skilled. The minimum CRS cutoff varies depending on the stream that candidates applied to. Candidates who received invitations to apply (ITAs) must meet the eligibility criteria.

Since the provision has already invited more than 200 people to apply for Canada PR under the skilled worker program, British Columbia PNP draws have been ongoing in August. On August 1, 2023, the BC PNP draw took place, and 209 applicants received ITAs. The British Columbia Province of Canada invitated Skilled Worker as well as Entrepreneur Stream candidates in the previous draw of August.

What is EEBC Option in Canada Immigration?
The federal Express Entry immigration selection system and British Columbia’s Express Entry immigration program are coordinated, which should result in much faster application processing times.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) and, if nominated, the application for permanent residence, are both given priority processing within the British Columbia Express Entry (EEBC) stream. Candidates for Express Entry must satisfy minimal provincial requirements for one of the following categories under the BC PNP:

Postgraduates from other countries

graduates from abroad
