Upon receiving a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Alberta, candidates are advised to promptly submit a copy of the letter and any accompanying documents to the Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program (AAIP). This should be done within two weeks of receiving the NOI.

Who can apply?

The draw is specifically aimed at inviting skilled foreign immigrants who have qualifications and experience in the healthcare industry. In order to apply for Canadian permanent residency, you must meet the necessary eligibility requirements and ensure that you have received a Notification of Interest Letter from the governing body by checking your email inbox.

Candidates, who have the below professions (professions mentioned in the National Occupational Classification). and have a valid job offer from Alberta, may apply for the Alberta PNP.

  • Registered Nurses (RNs) – College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) – College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Nurse Practitioners (NPs) – College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Physician Assistants – College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
  • Occupational Therapist – Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Physiotherapist – College of Physiotherapists of Alberta (CPA)
  • Clinical Social Worker – Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW)
  • Psychologist – College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)

  3. Candidates listed under Alberta’s Accelerated Tech Pathway will receive the remaining 25% of the nominations.
