QUEBEC EXPERIENCE PROGRAM
The Quebec Experience Program (Programme de l’expérience québécoise, or PEQ) offers international graduates and those with Quebec job experience a quick route to obtaining a Quebec selection, which is required for being a Canadian permanent resident of the federal government.
This agreement allows Quebec to set its selection criteria for economic immigrants, prioritising immigrants more likely to integrate into Quebec society and contribute to its economy successfully. In addition, this agreement allows Quebec to maintain its distinct culture and language, as it can choose immigrants who are more likely to be fluent in French.
