YUKON SKILLED WORKER PROGRAM
Yukon Skilled Worker Stream is designed for overseas skilled workers with work experience and a valid job offer from a Yukon employer, and they are willing to settle in the province with a Canada Permanent Residence visa. The Skilled Worker program allows Yukon employers to hire skilled overseas workers to fill important gaps within the province’s labour market.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants Occupations should lie in a National Occupational Classification ( NOC ) skill level 0, A or B.
- Must have academic qualifications (depending on job).
- Must have a full-time permanent job offer from the Yukon employer.
- Applicants need to have at least one year of work experience
- A valid Yukon work permit is mandatory for every applicant
- Meet the required language proficiency (IELTS score, CELPIP test)
YUKON EXPRESS ENTRY (YEE)
Applicants with an active Express Entry profile and a valid job offer from a Yukon employer may apply for a Provincial Nomination from Yukon through the Yukon Express Entry (YEE) stream. This stream is aligned with the Canada Express Entry System; applicants who qualify for this stream can apply for Canada PR at an accelerated pace.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must qualify for one of three federal immigration programs: Federal Skilled Trade, Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Worker.
- Applicants need to have a federal Express Entry Profile.
- Applicants have to show settlement funds
- Must have a full-time permanent job offer from a Yukon employer.
- The applicant must intend to live and work in Yukon.
- Must have proficiency in English or French languages.
YUKON CRITICAL IMPACT WORKER PROGRAM
The critical Impact Workers stream is designed for overseas semi-skilled or unskilled workers with work experience in an occupation in high demand in the province and a valid job offer from the Yukon employer; they are eligible for Provincial Nomination from Yukon.
Yukon PNP Eligibility Requirements: –
- Applicants need to have at least six months of work experience in a semi-skilled or unskilled occupation in the Yukon.
- Must have a job offer from a Yukon employer.
- Meet the required language proficiency (IELTS score, CELPIP score).
- Applicants should have a valid Yukon work permit.
YUKON BUSINESS NOMINEE PROGRAM
The Yukon Business Nominee Program is designed for individuals with proven business and entrepreneurial skills and experience to operate their businesses and support the economy of the Yukon. The applicants who want to establish a new business in Yukon, partner with an existing business, or purchase and operate a new business get preference under this stream.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants have to score at least 65 points on the Nominee Assessment Grid
- Must have proficiency in English or French languages.
- Must have at least 5 years of entrepreneurial/business management experience.
- Must have a minimum net worth of CAD $500,000.
- Applicants also have to show CAD $300,000 in liquid assets.
- Applicants have to show the intention to permanently settle in the Yukon.
YUKON COMMUNITY PILOT PROGRAM
The Yukon Community Pilot Program is a new stream of the Yukon PNP, it permits those applicants who are already nominated to get a Canadian work permit. Under the Yukon Pilot Program, qualified applicants who meet all eligibility requirements will receive an open work permit for 2 years.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must have 2 to 3 job offers all in the same Yukon participating community
- You must have Provincial Nomination from Yukon
- You must have a signed letter of support from the Government of Yukon.
- Must have proficiency in English or French languages.

ABOUT COMPREHENSIVE RANKING SYSTEM (CRS)
Comprehensive ranking system (CRS) Calculator is the points-based system used to access and score applicants profiles and scrutinise applications on the basis of ranking in the express entry pool. There are a total of 1200 points in the CRS score Calculator.
If the applicant has received a nomination by any Canadian province, he will get a 600 additional CRS score, which will increase his chance to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Yukon Canada permanent residence visa in the next Express Entry draws.
WHAT IS THE COST OF APPLYING TO THE YUKON NOMINEE PROGRAM (YNP)?
For the Yukon PNP, there is no application fee. Applicants have to pay a charge or fee of CAD $1,325 to apply for the Skilled Worker Program.
WHAT IS THE YUKON PNP PROCESSING TIME?
Yukon PNP application processing time depends on the immigration streams that the applicant has selected. In most cases, applications will be processed within 3 months to 4 months but if the province receives extra applications or applicants are unable to provide proper documents then it may take longer to process the application.
