Newfoundland and Labrador is Canada’s easternmost province and has evolved into a significant economic force in the Canadian landscape.

The island of Newfoundland and Labrador, connected to the mainland, are the two main land masses that comprise the province. The NLPNP stands for the Provincial Nominee Program for Newfoundland and Labrador. Through this program, potential immigrants who possess the knowledge and experience the province is looking for may be nominated by the provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

WHAT IS NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR PNP DRAW?

The province may choose prospective immigrants who satisfy its immigration requirements through a Newfoundland and Labrador PNP draw. The process of obtaining a provincial nomination, which can hasten the process of obtaining permanent residency in Canada, is open to those chosen.

This can be a great opportunity for those with the necessary skills and experience to apply for immigration to Newfoundland and Labrador, as they may be granted a provincial nomination more quickly than other applicants.

Those selected in the draw are issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA), which they must submit along with other required documents to be considered for a provincial nomination.

WHAT IS THE NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM (NLPNP)? 

Like other PNP programs, Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program were launched to attract more immigrants to the province who are capable of fulfilling the needs of the labor market in the province and can give their important contribution to the economy of the province and help the provincial government to achieve economic prosperity.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR PNP? 

HERE ARE SOME OF THE BASIC NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR PNP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS THAT APPLICANTS HAVE TO FULFILL TO BECOME ELIGIBLE TO APPLY  

  • Applicants should be between 21 to 59 years old 
  • Applicant s have to show intention to settle in the province 
  • Meet the minimum language requirements (IELTS score, CELPIP score) 
  • Require permanent full-time job offer from NL employer (depending on streams) 
  • Applicants must have a valid work permit
  • Settlement/Investment funds are required 
  • Applicants need to have relevant work experience  

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT STREAMS IN NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM (NLPNP)? 

Here are the five Canadian Newfoundland Immigration Stream under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program Categories: 

Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker 

This stream addresses those applicants whose profiles are already present in the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) federal Express Entry Pool and who have work experience in their respective fields, an in-demand occupation in the province.  

Newfoundland and Labrador Skilled Worker  

Newfoundland and Labrador Skilled Worker Stream is designed for overseas skilled workers of all National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Levels with a required work experience and a valid job offer from an NL employer to apply for provincial nomination

International Graduates 

Newfoundland and Labrador International Graduates stream is for recent graduates who completed their education from reputed and recognized post-secondary institutions in Canada and who are staying in Canada on a Post-Graduate Work Permit.

International Entrepreneur 

Newfoundland PNP stream International Entrepreneur is for overseas nationals who have experience in owning and managing a business and who want to establish a new business in Newfoundland and Labrador, partner with an existing business, or purchase and operate a new business in the province

International Graduate Entrepreneur 

Newfoundland and Labrador International Graduate Entrepreneur stream is designed for international graduates who have completed their graduation at the Post-Secondary Institution in Newfoundland and Labrador Canada
