The Canadian Experience Class is one of the three programs under the Canada Express Entry System that allows applicants who have previously worked in Canada for at least one year, not more than 3 years before, to settle in Canada permanently.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE CEC CANADA?

There are some eligibility for Canadian experience classes. Applicants have to meet the following requirements to become eligible to apply for the CEC program Canada:-

  • Applicants must have at least one year of work experience in the last 3 years.
  • The field in which you have work experience should lie inNOC skill types.
  • Work experience, gained as a full-time student, will not be considered.
  • The work experience you have in Canada must be done under the appropriate authority.
  • Must fulfil the IELTS score requirements
  • The applicant must intend to live and work in Canada.
  • Must have a Medical Examination Report from a CIC or IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) -approved panel physician.
  • Applicants should not have any type of criminal charge.
  • ECA may be required.

CEC PROGRAM CANADA POINTS CALCULATOR

CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS DRAW

Canadian Experience Class or Express Entry draws are held approximately every 2 weeks. CIC or IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) Express Entry draws eligible applicants from the federal express entry pool and sends an Invitation To Apply (ITA) for Canada permanent residence visa. Every single draw has a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score, and it represents the lowest CRS score to qualify for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a Permanent Residency Canada visa.

CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS (CEC) AND PROVINCE OF QUEBEC

Applicants who are planning Quebec immigration and want to work, study, and live there can not apply through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program; nevertheless, there is a common misperception that applicants who have working experience in the Canadian province of Quebec are also ineligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program this is not the case. 

If any applicant has worked in Quebec and obtained work experience but plans to reside in a province other than Quebec, they are eligible to apply for the CEC program.

CEC APPLICATION LIMITATIONS IN QUEBEC

  • Applicants can not apply for Quebec immigration if they have gained work experience outside the province of Quebec.
  • Applicants who have obtained experience in Quebec and want to live in Quebec must apply through the Quebec Skilled Worker Class or Quebec PNP.
