Express Entry manages the applications of skilled workers seeking permanent residency in Canada through an online portal system. It is the fastest doorway to applying for Canada permanent residence (PR) visa. Any skilled worker who desires to immigrate to Canada can consider Express Entry as their permanent ticket to Canada.

HOW DOES EXPRESS ENTRY WORK?

The Express Entry Programme of Canada is a one-of-a-kind, point-based immigration programme that allows qualified employees to earn Permanent Residency in Canada. The Canadian government has taken a novel and innovative way of choosing qualified people and granting them permanent residency. 

The first thing is to submit the application to the Express Entry pool. Once placed inside the pool, Eligible candidates are accepted into the Express Entry pool and are ranked according to their age, qualification, experience, adaptability, etc. This ranking system is known as the Comprehensive ranking system (CRS). ITAs: Invitation to Apply

The Canadian government picks the highest-scoring individuals from the Express Entry pool every two weeks and sends them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency. ELIGIBILITY FOR CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY

You must meet the following requirements of Canada express entry eligibility in order to apply for the Canada federal skilled worker program.

Age: candidate must be between the ages of 18 and 49.

Work experience: An Applicant must have at least 12 months of full-time, paid, continuous relevant work experience in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skills set O, A & B of the past decade before submitting the Permanent Residency to Canada application.

Education or Skills level: The applicant must have a Canadian or equivalent to Canada standard qualification from a recognised university/ institution. Qualification specialisation requirements may differ depending on the NOC code.

Language capability: All applicants who intend to apply for Canada Express Entry’s latest draw must prove their English language ability. They can write any of the English language exams to demonstrate their English language skills. E.g. IELTS (International English Language Test System)

Approved job offer: it will be in your favour if you already have the approved offer letter for the Canadian company.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR EXPRESS ENTRY CANADA?

If the applicant meets eligibility criteria, he or she can submit an online profile known as an expression of interest (EOI). The term EOI is called to those who show their interest in immigrating to Canada. However, Express Entry accepts applications for the following Visa category:

Federal skilled worker program: Skilled employees with international work experience who fulfil academic and other criteria are eligible for the federal skilled worker programme. Candidates must achieve at least 67 points on the FSWP’s points grid in addition to completing the minimum work, language ability, and education criteria.

Federal skilled trade program:  Candidates who qualify for a skilled trade can apply for FSTP in order to become permanent residents. Eligibility criteria include having a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the five years preceding the application; meeting the job requirements of the skilled trade; having a full-time job offer in Canada for at least one year or possessing a certificate of qualification in the skilled trade provided by an official Canadian authority; and meeting language proficiency criteria.

Canadian experience class: International students and foreign workers with Canadian experience can obtain permanent residence through the CEC. It is also required that candidates have worked in Canada for a minimum of one year within three years of the application date, as well as meet the requirements for language proficiency.

WHAT MAKES AN IDEAL EXPRESS ENTRY CANDIDATE?

HOW LONG DOES THE EXPRESS ENTRY PROCESS TAKE?

Getting a Permanent Residency in Canada through the Express Entry process is a popular choice for many skilled workers who want to live and work in Canada. While the processing time of getting an ITA is not something predictable but, the time it takes to receive your PR can vary based on a few factors.

If you are applying through Express Entry, the time it takes to get Canada permanent residence may vary based on the CRS score you have, the number of other applicants in the pool, and other factors. While the Canadian government strives to process applications within six months, it requires applicants to be patient and prepared for a longer a Canada express entry processing time.

Once getting the invite to apply for PR, applicants must respond and submit PR applications within 60 days of receiving the ITA. After that, If there is a high volume of applications being processed at the time, it may take several months for your application to be processed.

DOCUMENTATION NEED IF YOU RECEIVE AN ITA.

You will need to provide Immigration Ministry of Canada with the requested documents and pay any necessary fees. Examples of requested documents include:

Valid passport: must have at least 6 months of validation

Birth certificate: 

Language test results: IELTS that confirms whether an applicant will be able to communicate in the country or not. The test specifies reading, listening, writing, and speaking.

Educational Credential Assessment (ECA): Canada demands getting ECA from every immigrant to confirm whether their received education matches the Canadian education standards or not.

Police clearance certificates: there must be no criminal record
