ENTREPRENEUR STREAM

The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur stream is one of the pathways offered by the Nova Scotia, Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the province of Nova Scotia. This stream is intended for experienced business managers or experienced business owners who desire to settle in Nova Scotia.

REQUIREMENTS OF NOVA SCOTIA ENTREPRENEUR STREAM

A Expression of interest (EOI) is required from all candidates. The candidate will receive a score. The candidates who scored the highest against the competition will be given the opportunity to apply formally to the program. The score is based on the below-mentioned criteria.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY REQUIRED

Candidates must have official language test results demonstrating proficiency comparable to the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5 or greater in order to be considered for the Nova Scotia Entrepreneur stream.  

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

Candidates must show they have sufficient business ownership or management expertise to successfully create and run a firm in Nova Scotia because this is a business immigration stream. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of senior company management or three (3) years of company ownership experience.  

REQUIREMENT OF INVESTMENT

The individual net worth of candidates must be at least $600,000 CAD. Additionally, chosen candidates must put at least $150,000 CAD into a Nova Scotia company that they will create and run.

REQUIREMENT OF EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIAL ASSESSMENT

The applicant must possess a Canadian high school diploma or an equivalent credential from a foreign country, and this must be attested to by an authorized institution to offer Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) that is dated no more than five years after the EOI is submitted.

NOVA SCOTIA INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE ENTREPRENEUR STREAM

The Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur stream is one of the streams of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP. This stream is intended for recent university or community college graduates from Nova Scotia. Applicants must have owned or founded a Nova Scotia firm that has been in operation for at least a year.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NOVA SCOTIA INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE ENTREPRENEUR STREAM

REQUIRED A CONNECTION TO NOVA SCOTIA

Candidates must have completed at least two years of full-time study at a Nova Scotian institution or community college in order to be qualified for the Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream. Additionally, applicants must show they have at least a year of ownership and management experience in a Nova Scotia business. A third ownership stake in the company is required of the nominee. Last but not least, candidates must be presently residing in Nova Scotia and possess an authorized nova scotia entrepreneur visa.

REQUIRED LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL

Candidates for this program must have official language test results demonstrating proficiency at the level of 7 or higher on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB).

REQUIRED LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Candidates must have earned a minimum of a two-year certificate or degree from an accredited Nova Scotian institution or community college.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

The candidate must have at least three years of experience in business and must have owned at least 33.3 percent of the company, or they must have had a senior management position for at least five years during the previous 10 years.

Expression of Interest (EOI) is the system used by the Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream. Eligible candidates must submit their profiles to the pool of candidates.

Later, the Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur Ranking System is used to evaluate each profile. I

n one of the periodic intakes, candidates with the highest score get an Invitation to Apply. With their application to the stream, candidates are required to submit an audit opinion and special purpose report attesting to the business’ viability.
