The last Entrepreneur Immigration Draw was on August 1, 2023, and candidates have been waiting for the next one ever since.
Individuals who fall under the categories listed below have been sent an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Selection Criteria for Skilled Immigration Candidates
- Education – The education level is the degree or diploma obtained, field of education is the subject studied, and the location of education is the institution attended.
- Professional designations recognized in British Columbia
- Language skills are the ability to communicate effectively in English/ French language. They are essential for success in many areas of life. They include speaking, writing, understanding, and interpreting.
- Occupation
- Time and level of expertise in a job.
- The pay and/or skill level required for a job.
- Determination to reside, work, and establish oneself in a particular area
- Strategic priorities – elements that address specific labour market needs in British Columbia or support government pilot projects and initiatives

The Entrepreneur Immigration program provides both temporary and permanent immigration options. If you choose the British Columbia entrepreneur immigration program, you will first be granted a temporary visa. You may apply for a permanent British Columbia entrepreneur visa after you have successfully started your business in Canada.
