CANADA ACADEMIC ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT: CAEL TEST

CAEL 2023 is the right exam to take if you want to find out if you have the level of English language proficiency needed to enrol in a Canadian college. The CAEL test is among the most effective evaluations for faithfully simulating language use in a Canadian academic setting. As part of the CAEL test, you will be required to read articles, pay attention in a lecture, respond to questions, and write a brief essay.

The CAEL result is available in 8 business days and can be sent for no additional charge to 5 institutions. The subject matter, format, and scoring system of the CAEL Online test are identical to those of the CAEL Test administered in testing centres.

CAEL COACHING

WHAT IS THE CAEL TEST?

The Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) Assessment is a standardised English language test that measures reading, listening, speaking, and writing abilities typically used in academic contexts. It assesses a student’s proficiency in using English at the level of post-secondary school.

Once you pass the CAEL, you will be eligible to apply to universities abroad for undergraduate programs if you have completed your secondary education with a 10+2 or 10+1 grade point average. A current passport and a form of identification are required for test registration.

CAEL SCORING METHOD AND EXAM RESULTS

In the CAEL scoring system, a point is typically given for each correct response. Three different answers to the question’s various components would be needed for a question with three points.

  • Test results for international testing sites are made available 15 days after the exam date, and you will receive your Score Report via email.
  • A CAEL test’s outcome is valid for two years.
  • Your English language proficiency is rated on the CAEL Assessment Score Report in four categories: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
  • An overall band score that ranges from band level 10 to band level 90 is used to describe the outcome.
