The Ontario province of Canada is one of the most advanced provinces in canada. A rapidly growing economy halted by a labor shortage,Ontario is more than keen to invite candidates for permanent residency in Canada and to apply for Canada PR through the latest OINP draw.
To fight the problem of labor shortage, Ontario introduced the OINP draw under the ontario immigrant nominee program. Under the latest Ontario draw, the province sends out invitations to apply to candidates so they can swiftly move through the permanent residency process.

On 05th June, 2023
- Ontario released a draw comprising a total of 417 eligible candidates.
- They were sent notifications of interest (NOIs) wherein the province of Ontario expressed their interest in the candidate.
- The latest Ontario draw was a targeted draw that focused on French speaking skilled workers who can contribute to the economy and have professions that are per the occupation demand list in Ontario 2023.
- The candidates had to have professions as mentioned under the national occupation classification, it was also required that they have eligible work experience in the same.
- Through Ontario draw, Ontario invited people whose occupation lies in TEER 0,1,2 and 3, that is
TEER 0 – Management occupations
TEER 1 – occupations requiring
A college diploma
Work experience of 2 or more years
Supervisory work experience
TEER 2 – occupations requiring
A college diploma
Work experience of less than 2 years
On the job experience of more than 6 months

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY UNDER ONTARIO DRAW
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible to apply under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee program and if your profession is in demand, then you will be qualified as per the government’s discretion under a draw.
- Those migrating from outside Canada have to get their education degrees, diplomas accredited.
- This is done to ensure that the degree you have pursued outside Canada holds the same value as a Canadian degree.
- Education pursued only from recognised institutes will be eligible for visa application.
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in an occupation as per the Ontario occupation demand list
- A master’s degree in a similar or same course
- Work experience as per the Ontario occupation demand list
