British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island (PEI) provisions invite candidates from this week’s Provincial Nominee Program PNP draw. Each year, the federal government publishes the overall number of PNP nominations and divides it among the provinces in the Immigration Levels Plan. The current immigration levels plan calls for 117,500 new permanent residents to be accepted annually under the PNP by 2025.

The Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) was formed in 1998 to allow provinces to nominate their economic immigration candidates who they believe have the highest potential of establishing themselves economically in the province. Because of this program, many candidates were given the opportunity to establish themselves in their respective provisions while getting the benefits of Canadian permanent residency.

Due to the unique agreement between Canada\’s provisions and the federal government, Quebec, one of the famous cities in Canada, became the only country that does not have PNP and is the only provision that selects 100% of its economic immigrants. Coming back to provisions who invites from the PNP draw this week, here is the records of Provincial immigration results from April 15th -21st

British Columbia

In the most recent BC PNP draw, held on April 18, more than 203 individuals were invited.

In a general draw, the largest draw invited 158 individuals from five streams, implying that no occupations were targeted. Candidates in the skilled worker category including Express Entry needed a minimum score of 104. International Graduate candidates needed a score of 104, while Entry Level and Semi-Skilled candidates needed an 85.

Furthermore, 29 candidates were targeted for skilled worker steam and international graduate streams for early childhood educators and assistants, 16 candidates for healthcare occupations, and less than five candidates for other priority occupations. A minimum score of 60 was required for all targeted prospects..

Alberta

Alberta held two draws in April, where Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) issued invitations to candidates with profiles in the Express Entry application management system.

The first draw was held on the 5th of April, inviting 53 individuals under the designated healthcare doorways. The comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score ranges from 300-800 for Alberta job offer steam. In addition, 68 candidates with scores ranging between 300 and 700 were invited to participate in the second session on April 18.

Saskatchewan

In addition to sharing a southern border with the United States, Saskatchewan also sits on the Canadian prairies. On April 20, 1067 immigrants were invited through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Programme (SINP). 444 were nominated from the group for the in-demand job, while the remaining 623 were Express Entry candidates.

A minimum score of 69 was necessary for all candidates. This was the first SINP draw in a month, and it was significantly bigger than the March 23 draw, which only received nominations from 496 applicants.

Manitoba

On April 17, Manitoba welcomed 28 Ukrainian candidates in accordance with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) exceptional immigration provisions for persons affected by the region\’s ongoing war.

Candidates must still meet the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program\’s eligibility requirements. For example, they require a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 4 in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as a provincial link. It is also necessary for them to demonstrate that they have adequate settlement funds.

Prince Edward Island (PEI)

Prince Edward Island, one of eastern Canada\’s maritime provinces, invites 189 candidates In the most recent draw of the PEI PNP, held on April 20.  Among those invited, 180 were from the Labour and Express streams, with the remaining nine nominations from the Business and Entrepreneur streams meeting the minimum point level score of 72.

This draw represents a return to the province\’s typical draw pattern. PEI normally has PNP lotteries once a month, but in a historical month for Canada, March, the province welcomed candidates in three draws in which the last of the draw was held on March 30.

To sum it up, this week’s PNP draw was a massive success for provisions since they invited candidates of their choice. British Colombia with 203 applicants, Alberta with 121 candidates, Saskatchewan with 1067 candidates, Manitoba with 28 (lowest) candidates, and PEI with 189 candidates.
