Sunview College, established in 1998, offers degrees in business, healthcare, hospitality, management, and technology. Sunview College is recognized as a private career college under the Private Career Colleges Act of 2005.

INTERNATIONAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Before beginning their program at Sunview College, international students must submit the following documents:

  • A completed and signed International Student Application.
  • Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and Study Permit (depending on your country)
  • Valid Passport
  • Academic Transcripts such as High School, College, University or Technical School Diploma and The Sunview College entrance exam (Wonderlic or Ontario Secondary School Diploma equivalent evaluation test)
  •  Proof of Language Proficiency (if required)

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Students immigrating from a country where English is NOT the official language are required to meet any ONE of the following language criteria.
  • Submit valid and official test results from any one of the following testing authorities. The minimum required scores for each are provided below:
  1. IELTS (Academic): An overall score of 5.0
  2. TOEFL: 500 PBT, 185 CBT, 74-766
  3. PTE (Academic) with a minimum 50 overall
  4. iBT TOEIC: 775
  5. Cambridge: CAE or CPC band of 5.5
  • Acquire a minimum score of 6 on the Sunview College English Language Placement Test.
  • finished a recognised ESL programme and achieved the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level Nine.
  • successfully finish a foundations year pathway programme, an international school year, or an ESL course from a recognised language school.
  • A transcript from at least one year of post-secondary study in which English was the sole language used is required. (This must be a full-time programme the candidate completed successfully with at least a 75% grade or a B.)
  • Students should provide a certified copy of their transcripts and copies of their English language studies for Sunview College to evaluate as being comparable to a Canadian High School Diploma (Grade 12).
  • Students who attended school in a nation where English IS the official language are just required to provide a certified copy of their transcripts. Sunview College will assess this as being comparable to a Canadian High School Diploma (Grade 12).

SERVICES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS 

AIRPORT PICK-UP

Students may request Airport Pick-up services by email or fax. The request must be received at least 1 week before your arrival date—$ 150 CAD Fee for Airport Pick-up service. A representative from Sunview College will meet your flight at the Airport. Sunview College will ensure students reach their accommodations safely upon arrival.

MEDICAL HEALTH INSURANCE

Medical health insurance is mandatory for all international students studying in Canada. The cost of health insurance is not included in the tuition fees. We are partnered with Guard Me International Insurance. For a quote, please go to Guard Me.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Students should consult with either Sunview College directly or with an authorized representative from their home country about living arrangements while studying in Canada. This decision should be made before your start date of the chosen program. There is a placement service fee of $ 200 CAD.

COMPUTER ROOMS

We provide Computer Rooms, which are the perfect place to surf the Internet and check email for free, work on class assignments or just surf the Web.

STUDENT SERVICES

We will assist students in accessing information about transportation routes, banking, hospitals, medical clinics, local shopping malls, grocery stores, main attractions, movie theatres, and other cultural events throughout the year. While you are studying here, don’t forget to explore the many cultural event and activities that Canada and Toronto have to offer. Many of these activities include visiting a number of museums, parks, and sporting events, including NHL hockey games, Canada Day Fireworks, Niagara Falls, Music festivals, and much more.
