The eligibility criteria for the Foreign Entrepreneur Stream are:
- Minimum 6 months of experience in actively owning and managing a business equivalent to work experience as a business incubator or accelerator.

- Community Residency- While submitting the application and during the AAIP assessment, the candidates must have the intention and ability to reside and work in the designated Alberta community.
- The candidate needs to have a valid endorsement of the candidate letter issued by the Economic Development Organization of the designated rural community of Alberta.

The Rural Entrepreneur Stream
It is an economic immigration program for entrepreneurs who want to start a business in a rural community in Alberta that can submit their Expression of Interest (EOI).
